Wow! A great piece. This should be upheld as one of the most definitive breakdowns of pseudo-skeptical objections to the topic's validity. It is quite amazing how powerfully a sort of disciplinary amnesia is at work within the various scientific fields, causing so many people to treat every possible future paradigm shift with disregard, if not contempt. And yet the soft and hard sciences are all where they are now precisely because of all of those paradigm shifts which began as marginalized hypotheses or discoveries by a single person, or few individuals. To continue to "scientifically" regard the subject of UFOs and ETs (and abductions!) with derision is to very obviously embed oneself in an ideological arrogance.
